I want to be happy! I get it! Who wants to be unhappy? No one does.  

Let’s start off with, what makes you happy? Will having a million dollars make you happy? I can tell you right now that having lots of money will not bring you happiness. It’ll bring you stress and headaches. 
Really dig deep inside and find out what makes you happy. Forget the bills and the drama that is happening in your life. Is being happy….

  • Spending more time with your partner
  • Is being able to read more of your favorite books
  • Is taking care of your health
  • Being able to travel more
  • Growing your own veggies
  • Building a home that you truly love
  • Being able to volunteer more of your time at local non-profit organizations

What makes you happy today will be different in next few years because we grow and mature. It’s human nature! And it’s damn okay!!

Seriously, think about it. I don’t want another year to go by and you’re still unhappy with your life. 

So what are you doing about it?

Are you taking steps to get you to your happy place? No one is going to do it for you. 

Other people can't offer you or make you happy, only you can! 

I’ll give you an example. I wanted to spend more time with my son and husband because that’s what makes me happy. 

What action steps did I take?

Step 1:  Evaluate the current situation
Family wakes up at 8am, eat breakfast, busy throughout the entire day, dinner at 6 or 7 pm and 8:00pm start getting ready for bed. There was limited time spent on family time. 

Step 2: What small changes can be made so it doesn’t change the family’s daily routine or make my family feel like they were accommodating to my needs only?
Two changes that were made: Be in bed by 8:30 pm and wake up at 4:00 am. It would be give me 3 hours to get the things I needed to get done for myself and for my business before my son wakes up at 7:30 am. 

Step 3: Test it out
It was hard at first, but it worked. I was able to eat breakfast with my son with less distraction and spend more time with husband. Since my son and I were in bed by 8:30pm, my husband had some alone time for himself. BONUS!! 

Yes, there are days where this schedule doesn't happen, but the goal was to increase more time with my family. 

Definitely try out these steps. Remember make small changes, nothing dramatic, or anything that seems impossible cause you will fail.
